Live Night Tues 1st October

Krystyna Rawicz was born in Birmingham in 1963, the youngest child of Polish parents. She moved to Ireland in the early 90's. In between raising her four children and running a business, she likes to write and to play with paint and other mediums some of which can be found on her blog http://www.krystyna-rawicz.blogspot.ie/ At our live night she will perform some of her poetry.

Al O'Donnell and Conor O'Donnell
Al, singer/singwriter/musician is ‘One of the great voices in our singing tradition’ (Derek Copley Irish Independent) He released his album: AL O’Donnell RAMBLE AWAY, a 2 CD collection of live and studio recordings on Celtic Airs label CACD 130 in 2008.For those who remember him in the 60’s and for the younger generation who missed out on that golden era, Al O’Donnell’s gigs are a wonderful chance to experience the raw passion he puts into his songs.  Always a pleasure to hear him perform at the Space Inside.
Conor, is also very active on the music scene in Wicklow, Greystones and Dublin. He writes and covers songs in the bluegrass/country style with his bands The Big Muddy and The New Peasants. He is also at the helm of the Americana And Roots Festival which is held in Greystones every year. With such an enthusiasm for their music, we are guaranteed a great performance from these two.

Rachel Moore  is a singer-songwriter and poet from Wicklow. She is known to Space Inside audiences already as one third of popular local band Lemon Kush, who do interesting interpretations of well-known songs as well as their own compositions. Rachel, who has also acted in theatre and film productions as well as music videos, will be singing some songs as well as reciting some poetry.

Another great night in store!

Carol Boland hands over the reins

Hi all,
After nine years of feeding, burping and winding my 'baby' it is time for me to cut the cord. It has been a pleasure working with so many talented performers over the years and I shall miss the buzz of Tuesday Live Nights and the wonderful audiences who were always so respectful of the singers, dancers, poets and musicians. But my life has taken another direction and Tuesdays now take me to Kilkenny to further my studies and my wish to become a Poetry Therapist..

I have no doubt that the excellent team who remain on board the Space Inside will bring new ideas and fresh minds to the evenings and I look forward to dropping in whenever it is possible.

Many thanks again for all the support over the years. Best wishes to the team and here's to another nine years of keeping the arts alive in Wicklow.

Kind Regards
Carol Boland

Eva O’Gorman, from Glenealy, was one of our first performers at the Space Inside — 9 years ago. A wonderful harpist, in 2010 she wowed the President, Mary McAleese, with her rendition of Chanson dans la nuit.

WoodLark were formed in 2011 by Kate Gisbourne, an actress from England, and Michael Jordan, a Wicklow native and experienced musician. They soon began to write their own material and now have a very strong set of songs, variously described as folky, bluesy and countryish! They have played extensively around Wicklow, supporting Leslie Dowdall and Hazel O' Connor, appeared on East Coast radio and are looking forward to their headlining date at The Grand Social in March. At time of writing they are working on their first EP "Cross my Heart and Hope to Die.”

Annie Graham is a singer/songwriter from Wicklow. Hers is a very eclectic style ranging from indie rock to bluegrass to electronic/pop. She has released one album and two EPs with her band Aphrodite Lion (www.aphroditelion.bandcamp.com). She is interested in creating interesting song structures that don't compromise melody or emotion. On the night, she will be playing some of her new songs with the help of Alecktic Blankets' member Meg Evans and bluegrass aficionado (and memeber of the Big Muddy and The New Peasants) Conor O'Donnell.
