Harbour is the name of a quartet of singers and musicians covering an eclectic mix of songs from Robbie Burns to Ewan Mac Coll, songs from Ireland, Scotland, England and America as well as their own original compositions. The group consists of two generations of the McCabe family - Una and Dermot, their son Gavin and his partner Isolda Heavey. Una explained the thinking behind the title of the ensemble - her grandfather, Daniel Scraggs, was the harbourmaster in Bray and a harbour affords shelter and refuge to sailors - their musical mission, hopefully ,reflected in their name.

Vanessa Shipman

Vanessa Shipman writes to understand her own nature and it's connection with the rest of the world. It is a processing tool encouraged by the journey of self-reflection and awareness. It helps to calm the often constant whirring of her brain. She loves to share her writing because she believes that understanding comes from sharing and connectivity comes from understanding and hence, for all of us, feeling less alone in this world surrounded by so many. Vanessa read one of her poems at our last open mic in June so we very much look forward to hearing more of her work.

Annie Wolf

Annie Wolf is a singer-songwriter from Wicklow Town. Her music is experimentative in nature yet strives for melodic accessibility. Her subject matter varies from history to social issues to good old fashioned romance! Winner of the most recent Ri Sessions songwriter competition, Annie has also released one album and two EPs with her friend Mike Tinsley under the moniker of Aphrodite Lion. She also recently performed at one of State.ie's 'Faces of 2014' showcases.

Live Night October 7th 2014

Creepy Jimmy - Preview

Jimmy, an innocent and very eccentric thirty-six year old from Bray has been very busy since his two best friends Mammy and Daddy died, exactly twenty-seven and a half weeks ago. There’s been the failed Skeleton Museum Project, the Precious Childrens' Playtime Van and Party Bus (vetoed by Tomek as being inappropriate and possibly illegal), The Hairy Dolly Proposal (a work-in-progress) and finally his new Doggie Portrait business which seems to be going well so far…Husband and wife team Aaron (writer and starring) and Sarah (director) Lennon Ross will be presenting a preview of their one man dark comedy as a taster for their show in the Mermaid on October 23rd. "Charming, Touching and very very quirky" and "different from the norm", (Alan Foran, www.theredcurtainreview.com), we very much look forward to seeing what this Creepy Jimmy character has to offer at our live night!

Conor O’Donnell and Friends
It's almost like a Space Inside tradition now! We always love to have Conor and friends at our live nights, all first night of the season will open wit a musical bang! From a musical family, Conor has toured the states several times with various acts and plays a lot of shows now with his current band, The Big Muddy. He also is the visionary founder of one of Ireland’s hottest music festivals, the Americana Roots Weekend in Greystones which is going into its fifth year and just keeps getting bigger and better.Conor will give us his lively version of songs from the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Gillian Welch and Townes Van Zandt.
