Rosy Wilson lives in the Wicklow Hills. She is a Poetry Ireland Introduction poet and her poems have been published in several magazines and anthologies including The SHOp, Stinging Fly and Space Inside Magazine. She is an active member of Amnesty International. Rosy will be reading poems from her latest book,
Keeper of the Creek.
Joe Corkish is a filmmaker of great talent. Tonight we will be screening one of his ‘shorts’: a modern-day adaptation of the story of a young girl who was run down by a horse and cart in the early 1800s, on the day before her communion (14 mins). There will be a Q & A session afterwards.
Robyn Kavanagh is a soul singer/songwriter from Wicklow Town who you may remember for her great performances on the RTE talent competition ‘You’re a Star.’ Her influences include Aretha Franklin, Etta James and Destiny’s Child. On the night, Robyn will sing some of her own songs, including her latest ‘I don’t know’. A great performer with a great voice.
All in all, it promises to be an exciting night
